END OF SUMMER AT FEAST PORTLAND
Henry V Events
Crave Catering LOVES Tillamook Creamery!
We were honored to work with Henry V Events as they helped the famous Tillamook Creamery chose Crave Catering as its partner for this year’s FEAST Portland events. An incredible crowd showed up to each of the 3 events we worked on and they were all raving about the fun, food, and displays!
FEAST Portland Thursday – Widmer Brothers Brewing Sandwich Invitational Presented by Dave’s Killer Bread
We kicked off the sandwich invitational with about 800 incredible grilled cheese sandwiches. We had fun creating specialty grilled cheeses pairing Tillamook Cheese such as:
Hot Habanero Jack and Monterrey Jack with apricot lime compound butter on Marsee Bakery sourdough...
Sharp Cheddar and White Sharp Cheddar with brown sugar masala compound butter on Dave’s Killer Bread...
Smoked Black Pepper White Cheddar and Sharp Cheddar with garlic herb compound butter on Marsee Bakery sourdough bread...
FEAST Portland Saturday Night – VIP After Party
What does it look like when you design a kick ass ice cream bar by Tillamook Ice Cream for a VIP after party, at Coopers Hall Winery and Taproom, for the Hottest Chef’s and who’s who of the culinary world?
Our Pastry Chef Keri Birsa, who has worked at Petunias Pies and Pastries, The Nines, and Aria Las Vegas, created some delectable treats to top the best Sundae you could imagine. House made waffle cones and bowls, dried dark bing cherries, house made peanut brittle, hot fudge, toasted coconut, and house made fluffy marshmallows…. But I digress… getting it all served out of a pop-top mini “Baby Loaf” Tillamook bus was the icing on the cake…er… ice cream.
FEAST Portland Sunday – Tillamook Bunch Village
Did someone say Brunch??? My head was killing me… all the late-night- what-not fun had seriously caught up to one massive hangover… (Well… not really, but I can imagine how many Feast party-goers were floating down that river). Tillamook Cheddar and Sour Cream Biscuits and incredible house made granola paired with Tillamook Yogurt was the perfect snack to set the hungry crowd on the path of redemption. Other favorites included The LA Restaurant Eggslut who made an incredible and delicate take on fried rice featuring sous vide eggs and house made kim chi. Portland’s restaurant The Parish served an amazing version of shrimp and grits with spicy tomato broth and soft boiled quail egg.
Over all we had an incredible time working with the gracious folks from Tillamook Creamery as well as our friends from Henry V. It’s taken me a while to decompress from a crazy busy September but I must say… I can’t wait for next year!
