COCKTAIL RECIPE: “Springberry Lemonade”
- 6 cups water
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 2½ tablespoons lemon juice (about ½-1 lemon)
- 6 ounces strawberries (by weight), stemmed and roughly chopped
- 6-10 sliced strawberries for garnish
- 6-9 ounces vodka
Heat two cups of the water over low heat. Add sugar and stir continuously until sugar is dissolved and fully suspended, creating a simple syrup.
Combine simple syrup, the remaining four cups of water, lemon juice, and strawberries in a blender. Puree until fully liquefied.
Fill 6 glasses with ice and top ice with sliced strawberries. Pour 1 to 1.5 ounces of vodka into each glass. Fill strawberry lemonade puree mixture to top of glass, and stir to combine. Garnish with a slice of lemon or additional strawberries.
